1 killed in blast in Kosovo

One person died and other was severely injured in powerful explosion in a restaurant near Gjakovica, southwest Kosovo, early on Monday, police said.

The police have no information as to the identity or nationality of perpetrators and motives of the attack.

The blast killed a member of the staff at the restaurant. The injured was rushed to Clinics Center in Pristina, said Avny Gevukaj, the local spokesman of the Kosovo Police Service.

He added that the police have launched an investigation at the blast site.

Three explosions occurred recently in the northern part of Mitrovica, the latest blast was reported near the Orthodox monastery Visoki Decani.
